Woodgate is planned to be an experiment in 21st century living.
We want to be as sustainable as possible but without giving up some nice things like goods wine and exotic fruit. We want to be small on the carbon footprint but realise that we are in a global environment and do need to travel and obtain new things.
To this end the last two weeks have been involved.in looking at energy supplies. What a journey! The companies, the options, the tariffs, the government incentives all make this a proverbial minefield of indecision.
As each company representative leaes after two hours or more of discussion - one wants to say, Yes. But the other one is good and there are more coming. So many differences, so hard to judge
However it has been a learning curve, now we know more about different systems than most; it seems the most important factores are experience and installation. experience in how long have the manufacturers been at it and installation as to who will go it properly.
We now have 3 solar quotes - no 4 another came today: 4 air pump quotes, 3 ground source quotes and more on the way - Being green is not easy.
Await decisions to be made next week - hopefully
